Harold C. Jacob
80, 1711 Daley Avenue, Schofield, died Sunday January 26, 2003 at the Hospice House, Wausau.
He was born August 7, 1922 in the town of Hamburg, son of the late William and Bertha (Frase) Jacob.
Prior to his retirement, Harold was employed as a heavy equipment operator. Harold was mechanically inclined and handy with automotive repair. An accomplished musician, Harold was especially fond of playing the button accordian. He enjoyed dancing, fishing and hunting.
Survivors include a dear special friend, Mary Ann Schilling, Schofield, 11 children, Shirley Witz, Dorchester, Roy (Karyn) Jacob, Athens, Gene (Rose Ann) Jacob, Mosinee, Gloria (Lyle) Jaegler, Merrill, Grace (Robert) Patyk, Lake Geneva, Walter Jacob, Minn., Glenn (Bonnie) Jacob, Athens, Susan (Steven) Sawyer, Marathon, Bruce (Victoria) Jacob, Edgar, Rose Jacob, Milwaukee, Rachel (Steven) Doran, Edgar, 27 grandchildren, three step-grandchildren, 20 great-grandchildren, four step-great-grandchildren. Also surviving are Mary Ann Schilling's family, Beverly Schilling, Schofield, Diane (Michael) Witter, Schofield, Nancy (Douglas) Condon, Wausau, six grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.
Besides his parents, he was preceded in death by a granddaughter, a great-granddaughter and a son-in-law, Don Witz.
Funeral services will be 11:00 a.m. Wednesday January 29, 2003 at the Peterson/Kraemer Funeral Home, 3400 Stewart Avenue, Wausau. Rev. Joseph Diermeier will officiate. Burial will be in the Athens Cemetery. Friends may call on Tuesday from 4 - 8 p.m. and Weds., from 10 a.m. until the time of services all at the Stewart Avenue funeral home. There will be a prayer service at 4 p.m. Tuesday at the Stewart Avenue funeral home.
