Harold J. Hall

Harold J. Hall, 88, Rib Mountain, died Thursday, August 22, 2013 at Aspirus Hospice House, Wausau. He was born March 15, 1925 in Marathon, son of the late Julius and Hedwig "Hattie" (Jagodzinski) Hall. On August 27, 1946, he married Marian C. Dalske in Marathon. She preceded him in death on July 11, 2010. Harold was a dairy farmer for 65 years, and still had an operating farm in the town of Rib Mountain. He also at one time, had three milk routes and grew ginseng. Among his favorite pastimes, he enjoyed hunting, fishing, playing cards, was an avid reader and could fix anything that needed repair. Survivors include six children, Sharon (John) Buechner and Dennis (Pat) Hall, both of Wausau, Gerald (Cindy) Hall, Marathon, Donald (Nancy) Hall, Yvonne (Ross) Mattson and Tom (Lisa) Hall, all of Wausau; 19 grandchildren, 29 great grandchildren, 2 great grandchildren on the way; six siblings, Arlene Hannemann and Gladys (Randall) Schuh, both of Wausau, Ralph (Angie) Hall, Evanston, Wis., Aloys Hall and Dianne (Bob) Fitzke, both of Wausau and Phyllis Blume, Marathon; and many nieces and nephews. The funeral mass will be celebrated at 11:00 a.m. on Monday, August 26, 2013 at The Church of the Holy Name of Jesus, Wausau. Rev. Thomas Huff will preside. Burial will be in St. Mary Cemetery, Marathon. Friends may call on Sunday from 2:00 until 6:00 p.m. at Peterson/Kraemer Funeral Home, 3400 Stewart Avenue, Wausau and again on Monday from 10:00 a.m. until time of services at the church.
