Harlan A. Freese, 81, Woodruff, formerly of Marathon, died Sunday, November 23, 2003 under the care of Dr. Kate - Lakeland Hospice, Woodruff.
He was born June 20, 1922 in Edgar son of the late Albert and Ida (Lallathin) Freese. On October 2, 1948 he married Milda A. Gresens at St. Matthew Evangelical Lutheran Church, Marathon. She preceded him in death on March 10, 1993.
Harlan was employed with Pauly Cheese Corporation, Marathon until his retirement.
Survivors include two daughters, Beverly (Solomon) Miller, Arbor Vitae, Paulette (Henry) Radke, Wausau; seven grandchildren, Lloyd Pregont, Jocelyn Decker, Benjamin Pregont, Julie Boland, Tammy Steinke, Jennifer Franks, Jill Radke; four great grandchildren, Megan and Justin Decker and Tyler and Mitchell Steinke; and one sister Virginia Lee, Milwaukee. He was preceded in death by his parents, wife, one son-in-law, Donald Heinz and one brother-in-law, Alfred Lee.
Funeral services will be 11:30 a.m. Wednesday, November 26, 2003 at St. Matthew Evangelical Lutheran Church, Marathon. The Revs. Jon W. Hadler and Eugene Kock will officiate. Burial will be in St. Matthew Lutheran Cemetery, Marathon. Visitation will be Tuesday from 5:00 - 8:00 p.m. at Peterson/Kraemer Funeral Home, Marathon and again Wednesday from 10:30 a.m.until time of services at the church. There will be a prayer service at 7:45 p.m. Tuesday at the Marathon funeral home.
