Gwendolyn E. Ladwig

Gwendolyn "Gwen" E. Ladwig, 73, Wausau, died Sunday, October 19, 2008 at home with her family by her side. She was born February 12, 1935 in Los Angeles, Calif., daughter of the late Maurice Seiber and Dorothy (Ball) Seiber-Collins. On March 18, 1960, she married Jerry Ladwig in Denver Colo. They later divorced, but remained very close friends. Gwen was a veteran of the United States Air Force serving for seven years as a photographer during the Korean Conflict. Among her many interests, she enjoyed traveling and shopping. Gwen made many friends on the bus routes she frequently used. Survivors include one daughter, Gerilyn Kryshak, two sons, Mark and Rick Ladwig, and their father Jerry Ladwig, all of Wausau; four grandsons, Jason, Scott and Matthew Ladwig, and Eric Miller; three granddaughters, Nicole, Jessica, and Hannah Ladwig; two great-grandchildren, Tanner and Jordynn Ladwig; one brother, Richard (Wilma) Seiber, Tacoma, Wash; and one step-brother, Charles (Louise) Seiber, Lakeside, Calif. Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by one son, Scott Ladwig. Funeral services will be 11:00 a.m. Friday, October 24, 2008 at Peterson/Kraemer Funeral Home, 1302 Sixth Street, Wausau. Rev. Steven Gjerde will officiate. Burial will be in Restlawn Memorial Park, Wausau, with full military honors conducted by the American Legion Montgomery Plant Post #10, Wausau.
