Gretchen K. Lenard

Gretchen K. Lenard 81, formerly of 917 North 8th Avenue, Wausau, died Weds. August 11, 2004 at Marywood Convalescent Center under the care of Aspirus Comfort Care and Hospice Services. She was born May 26, 1923 in Wausau, daughter of the late Robert and Selma (Brandt)Erdmann. On July 1, 1947 she married Paul Lenard in Merrill. He preceded her in death on May 1, 1981. Gretchen was a homemaker. She enjoyed spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren. Survivors include her three daughters, Christine (Ken) Sulzer, Mosinee, Darlene (Greg) Payne, Wausau, Jean (Glenn) Marquardt, Wausau, three grandsons, Brandon, Jordan, and Jared Marquardt, a sister, Florence Baumann, Weston. Besides her husband, she was preceded in death by her parents and three brothers, Edgar, David, and Lee Erdmann. Funeral services will be Friday, 10:30 a.m. Friday August 13, 2004 at St. Mark Lutheran Church, Wausau. Rev. Bruce Lamont will officiate. Burial will be in Restlawn Memorial Park, Wausau. Friends may call on Friday from 9:00 a.m. until services at the church. Peterson/Kraemer Funeral Home, 1302 Sixth Street, is in charge of arrangements.
