Grace E. Woodward

Grace E. Woodward, 82, Wausau, died Tuesday, January 27, 2009 at Hospice House. She was born November 28, 1926 in Portage, daughter of the late Otto and Martha (Gresens) Weinke. On December 6, 1947 Grace married Samuel Woodward at Trinity Lutheran Church, Wausau. He preceded her in death on October 11, 1988. Grace was a teacher at St. Mark Lutheran School until 1975 and then at St. John Lutheran School, town of Easton retiring May 1988. She was actively involved in her church family at St. Mark Lutheran Church, Wausau. Survivors include four children, Paulette White, Wausau, Monica (Bernard) Piekarski, Minneapolis, Keith Woodward, Wausau, Margaret (John) Arnold, Pine River, Wis, seven grandchildren, Kahtia (Abdelmounim) Noujdi, Taia Piekarski, Adam (Natalie) White, Erin (Will) Enright, Luke Woodward, Seth Woodward, Allison Arnold, 3 great grandsons, Amin Noujdi, Samuel White and Conor Enright, one sister, Ruth (John) Reina, Tampa, Fla. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, son-in-law, Frank White and two sisters, Mildred Friedrich and Shirley Eggebrecht. Memorial Services will be at 11:00 a.m. Friday, January 30, 2009 at St. Mark Lutheran Church, 600 Stevens Drive, Wausau. Rev. Bruce Lamont will preside. Spring burial will be in Restlawn Memorial Park. Friends may call from 9:00 a.m. until the time of the service on Friday at the church. A special thank you to Dr. Jeff Oswald at Stettin Center and Aspirus Hospice House for all their loving care and compassion given to the family.
