Grace L. Luetschwager-Butler-Schneider

Grace passed away at home on Saturday, March 29, 2025, at the age of 93, with her daughter, Kristine, at her side along with the faithful family dog, Hayli. Grace was born on December 6, 1931, in the town of Hewitt, to the late Julius and Helen (Prahl) Kuehl. She attended Wausau High School graduating in 1948. After completing high school, she worked as a dental assistant. She then worked at Tupperware in the office for a few years. However, she spent most of her time as a wife and mother.

On May 19, 1951, Grace married Arthur Butler, and they had three children. She and Arthur later divorced in 1966. A few years later, Grace met and married Harrison Schneider on June 11, 1970, Harrison extended the family with two sons. Harrison passed in 1995. Grace then ran into her high school prom date, Harvey Luetschwager. They did some catching up and then married on April 4, 1997. Grace enjoyed spending time with her family, traveling, and doing puzzles at home.

Survivors include her three children, Mitchell (Renae) Butler, Douglas (Jeanne) Butler, and Kristine (Joseph) Mohr; five grandchildren, Katrina (Timothy) Baumann Lownik, Sean (Nicole) Baumann, Alexander Mohr, Michael (Jenna) Butler, and Mark Butler; great-granddaughter, Olivia Baumann; two stepsons, Partrick and Michael Schneider; and niece, Kathleen Kuehl.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Julius and Helen Kuehl; brother, Stuart Kuehl; sister-in-law, Caroline Kuehl; and her three husbands, Arthur Butler, Harrison Schneider, and Harvey Luetschwager.

A memorial service will be at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday, April 8, 2025 at Peterson/Kraemer Funeral Home, 1302 Sixth Street, Wausau, with Pastor Lori Slaughter officiating.  Visitation will begin at 3:00 p.m. until the time of service at the funeral home.  Burial will take place at a later date.  Online condolences may be expressed at www.petersonkraemer.com.
