Grace M. Jansen

Grace M. Jansen, 80, Marathon, died Monday, April 17, 2017 at Aspirus Wausau Hospital. She was born November 21, 1936 in Wausau, daughter of the late William and Sarah (Clark) Osterbrink. On June 22, 1955, she married Alvin Jansen at St. Mary Catholic Church, Marathon. He survives. Grace and her husband Alvin farmed ginseng in the town of Rib Falls for many years. Some of her favorite pastimes included fishing, going to the casino, knitting and spending time with her family. Survivors include her husband, Alvin Jansen, Marathon, her children, Cathleen (Mike) Hargraves, Weston, Jean (Andy) Trudell, Tomahawk and James (Mary) Jansen, Wausau, her grandchildren, Jason (Becca) Hargraves, Michelle (Ken) Kaminski, Amy (Adam Frei) Langdon, Kristi Trudell and Ashley(Matt Hieronimus) Jansen and Kyle (Shelby Tessmer) Jansen, her great grandchildren, Bobbi and Brittany Hargraves and Leeland Kaminski and her two brothers, Marvin (Delores) Osterbrink, Wausau and Roger (Cindy) Osterbrink, Edgar and nieces and nephews. Besides her parents she was preceded in death by one brother, Keith Osterbrink. Memorial services will be held at 11:30 a.m. Friday, April 21, 2017 at St. Mary Catholic Church, Marathon. The Rev. Msgr. Joseph Diermeier will preside. Burial will be in the parish cemetery. Visitation will be held from 9:30 a.m. until the time of services all at the church. In lieu of flowers memorials may be directed to St. Mary Catholic Church, Marathon. Peterson/Kraemer Funeral Home, Marathon is in charge of arrangements.
