Gordon W. Rosentreter
65, 3403 Bob-O-Link Ave., Wausau, died Friday October 29, 2004 at his home under the care of Aspirus Comfort Care and Hospice Services.
He was born July 29, 1939 in Wausau, son of the late Hilmer and Eythlyn (Hartwig)Rosentreter. On May 2, 1959, he married Sharon Springer at St. Therese Catholic Church, Rothschild. She survives.
Gordy had been employed for several years at Day's Bowl-O-Dome and prior to his retirement, had been the manager of Tanglewood Lanes, Wausau. Among his favorite things to do were camping, craftwork and yardwork, especially flower gardening. Gordon was a good bowler and an avid Packers fan.
Survivors include his wife, Sharon Rosentreter, Wausau. sons, Glenn Rosentreter, Rothschild, Keith (Michelle) Rosentreter, Wausau, one granddaughter, brothers, Daryll (Jane) Rosentreter, Wausau, Eugene Rosentreter, Wausau, sisters, Marlene (Jim) Strachota, Wausau, Jan (Alfred) Vogedes, Indianna and Linda (Ron) Ploeger, Hatley.
Besides his parents, Gordon was preceded in death by a brother, Douglas and a sister, Dianne.
Funeral services will be 2:00 p.m. Tuesday November 2, 2004 at Peterson/Kraemer Funeral Home, 1302 Sixth Street, Wausau. Rev. Stephen Russell will officiate. Burial will be in Pine Grove Cemetery, Wausau. Friends may call on Tuesday from 1:00 p.m. until the time of services at the Sixth Street funeral home.
