Gordon "Gordy" L. Dennison
86, Wausau, died Saturday, July 28, 2007 at his home.
He was born April 5, 1921 in Clintonville, son of the late Herbert and Ida (Luckjohn) Dennison. On July 11, 1963, he married Joan Gleue in Wausau. She survives.
During World War II, he served his country as a member of the United States Army. Gordy was a crane operator for many years for C.B.I. Industries, Illinois, until his retirement. He was a member of the Operating Engineers #139, Pewaukee, the American Legion Montgomery Plant Post #10, Wausau and the Veterans of Foreign Wars Burns Post #388, Wausau. Among his many interests, he enjoyed trout fishing, deer hunting and playing cards.
Survivors include, his wife, Joan Dennison, Wausau; three children, Wayne (Debbie) Dennison, Wausau, Cheryl (Norman) Moeller, Wausau and Jerry (Laurie) Dennison, Alabama; three grandchildren; one brother, LeRoy Dennison, Green Bay; and one sister, Beverly Peters, Milwaukee.
In honor of Gordy's wishes, no funeral services will be held. Entombment will be in the Memorial Chapel Mausoleum, Restlawn Memorial Park, Wausau.
