Glenn Seliger
67, 912 Chestnut Street, Marathon, died Friday July 12, 2002 at St. Joseph Hospital, Marshfield.
He was born August 1, 1934 in Wausau, son of the late August and Emma (Leisinger) Seliger. On May 26, 1962 he married Mary Ann Vollard at St. Mary Catholic Church, Marathon. She survives.
Glenn was a veteran of the U.S.Army. In 1998 he retired from Greenheck Fan Corporation after 30 years of service as an engineer in mechanical design. Among his favorite pasttimes were handcrafting snowshoes, hunting, fishing, his cabin on the Flambeau River and woodworking. He especially enjoyed the time spent with his family.
Survivors besides his wife Mary Ann, include a daughter, Jane (Phil) Noyes, Verona, and their children, Katie, Jenny & Sarah; a son, Mike (Shijun) Seliger, Marathon and their daughter, Ann.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
The funeral mass will be celebrated at 11:00 a.m. Monday July 15, 2002 at St. Mary Catholic Church, Marathon. The Very Rev. Joseph Diermeier will preside. Burial will be in the parish cemetery. Friends may call on Sunday from 3 - 6 p.m. at the Peterson/Kraemer Funeral Home, Marathon and again on Monday from 10 a.m. until the time of services at the church.
In lieu of flowers a memorial fund is being established.
