Glenn "G.G." A. Greiner
85, town of Rietbrock, died Wednesday, June 1, 2011 at Aspirus Wausau Hospital.
He was born May 23, 1926 in the town of Rietbrock, son of the late Armond and Minnie (Berres) Greiner. On July 10, 1948, he married Laverne Hart at St. Anthony Catholic Church, Athens. She preceded him in death on October 25, 1993.
Glenn lived and worked on the family farm in the town of Rietbrock his entire life. In 1956, he founded the Greiner Brothers Orchestra along with his brother, Ralph. Glenn had a great passion for music and will be remembered as a kind, generous man with a loving heart.
Survivors include, two children, Ronald Greiner, town of Rietbrock and Marilyn (Randy Reif) Greiner, Rothschild; and one sister-in-law, Elmira Greiner, Kenosha, special friend, Marge Schreiner.
Besides his parents and wife, Laverne, he was preceded in death by two brothers, Ralph and Dell.
Funeral services will be at 3:00 p.m. Saturday, June 4, 2011 at Peterson/Kraemer Funeral Home, 3400 Stewart Avenue, Wausau. Rev. Dick A. Hartlerode will officiate. Friends may call Saturday from Noon until time of services at the funeral home. Burial will be on Monday at Restlawn Memorial Park, Wausau.
Memorials may be directed to the family to establish a music scholarship fund.
