Gladys M. Ziech

Gladys M. Ziech, 87, Schofield, died Thursday August 14, 2003 at Community Health Care Wausau Hospital. She was born April 27, 1916, in Browntown, Wis., daughter of the late Arthur and Mabel (Erickson) McGonigal. On August 9, 1941 she married Reinhold Ziech in Missouri. He survives. Gladys was a homemaker, loving mother, grandmother and great grandmother. She enjoyed doing word search puzzels and had been a member of St. Paul's United Church of Christ, Wausau for many years. Survivors include her husband, Reinhold, Schofield; five daughters, Marie (Ron) Johnson, LaCrosse, Mary (David) Kitsemble, Schofield, Sandy (Anton) Milanowski, Hatley, Janet (Gary) Zastrow, Wausau, Arlene (Virgil) Hanke, Wausau; four sons, Robert Ziech, Schofield, Wayne (Sharon) Ziech, Schofield, Leonard (fiancee' Susan Mroczenski) Ziech, Marathon, James Ziech, Oklahoma; 26 grandchildren, 25 great grandchildren; and one sister, Emma Mickelson, Beloit. She was preceded in death by a son, Sheridan Ziech on September 27, 1985; two sisters, Fern Ball, Viola Sipse; and three brothers, John, Morgan, and Robert McGonigal. Funeral services will be 11:00 a.m. Monday, August 18, 2003 at the Peterson/Kraemer Funeral Home 1302 Sixth Street, Wausau. The Rev. Donald E. Baumann will officiate. Burial will be in the Pine Grove Cemetery, Wausau. Visitation will be Sunday from 4:00 p.m. - 8:00 p.m. at the Sixth Street funeral home.
