Gladys Gutowski

Gladys "Pepper" Gutowski 81, 1240 Merrill Avenue, Wausau, died Wednesday, October 19, 2005 under the care of Comfort Care and Hospice Services at Aspirus Wausau Hospital. She was born February 28, 1924 in Two Rivers, daughter of the late Victor and Margaret (Menne) Lesperance. On August 21, 1943, she married Michael Gutowski in Wausau. He preceded her in death on July 30, 1991. Gladys was employed at the Wausau Center for many years as a custodian and most recently, she was employed at North Central Health Care, Wausau as a dietary aid. Among her many interests, she enjoyed gambling at casinos, playing cards and taking trips. Survivors include, seven sons, Peter (Jeanne) Gutowski, Wausau, Dennis Gutowski, Wausau, Michael (Charlene) Gutowksi, Ringle, David (Jackie) Gutowski, Ringle, Rodney Gutowski, Jaye Gutowski, Wausau and Corey Gutowski, Wausau; three daughters, Xanea (Arthur) Hutchison, Wausau, Anita (Dale) Randelin, Osseola and Christine Gutowski, Wausau; 26 grandchildren; 24 great grandchildren; and one brother, Donald (Jean) Lesperance, Two Rivers. Besides her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by one daughter, Annette Plaza; one grandson, Darrin Gutowski; and one granddaughter, Melissa Gutowski. Funeral services will be Noon Friday, October 21, 2005 at Peterson/Kraemer Funeral Home, 1302 Sixth Street, Wausau. Rev. William Grevatch will officiate. Burial will be in Restlawn Memorial Park, Wausau. Friends may call Thursday from 4:00 until 7:00 p.m. and again on Friday from 11:00 a.m. until time of services all at the Sixth Street Funeral Home.
