Gladys A. Block

Gladys A. Block, 69, Wausau died Saturday, September 10, 2016 at Mount View Care Center-Northern Reflections, Wausau. She was born April 29, 1947 in Wauwatosa, daughter of the late Harold and Elda (Pagel) Wilde. Gladys married Merlyn Block. They later separated. Gladys was a homemaker and was proud to stay home and raise her two boys. Some of her favorite pastimes included gardening, cooking and camping. Gladys enjoyed following Paul's racing career and John's passion for horses. She also loved her grandchildren dearly. Survivors include her children, Paul (Sara) Block, Wausau, John Block, Wausau, Julie (Pete) Krueger, LaValle, three grandchildren, Ashley and Mitchell Block and Candice (Bob) Corey and two great grandchildren, Zander and Zayven, two brothers Allen (Hannah) Wilde, Wyoming and Robert (Nancy) Wilde, Las Vegas and many nieces, nephews and cousins. Besides her parents she was preceded in death by her former husband, Merlyn. Funeral services will be held at 3:00 p.m. Saturday, September 17, 2016 at the Peterson/Kraemer Funeral Home, 1302 Sixth Street, Wausau. Todd Green will officiate.
