Ginger Wadzinski

Ginger (Schneider) Wadzinski, 74, Rothschild, WI passed away Monday, September 12, 2016 at Ministry St. Joseph Hospital, Marshfield. She was born May 2, 1942 in Eau Claire, WI, daughter of the late John and Margaret Schneider. Ginger graduated from Newman High School in 1960. On February 8, 1964 she married Charles "Chuck" Wadzinski at St. James Catholic Church, Wausau. Ginger started her working career at General Telephone Company in the accounting department. She then worked in retail at The Vogue followed by many years at Maurices, and later at Ethan Allen as an interior designer. She retired from Ethan Allen in 2001 but still enjoyed being an interior design consultant. Ginger and Chuck enjoyed many things together including golfing, traveling, trips to the casino and were avid fair goers attending every summer with friends. She also belonged to the Red Hat Club, three card clubs and the Traveling and Metro Club. Above all Ginger loved being a mom and grandma and spending time with her children and grandchildren who brought her much pride and joy. She is survived by her husband, Chuck Wadzinski, Rothschild, WI; sons, Todd (Beth) Wadzinski, Kronenwetter, WI and Robb (Michelle) Wadzinski, Rosemount, MN; four grandchildren, Larissa, Austin, Amelia and Isaac Wadzinski; three step grandchildren and five step great grandchildren; sisters-in-law, Betty Baumann and Arlene Lenard; brother-in-law, Delmar Wadzinski and many nieces and nephews. Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by a daughter, Polly Jo Wadzinski and granddaughter, Annabelle Wadzinski. Ginger was raised as an only child. In adulthood she searched for her birth family and found seven sisters: Dona, Bonnie, Jeri, Sharon, Shirley, Wanda, Myrna and a brother, Gary. She felt lucky to spend great times with them as well as with her Aunt Marie and Uncle Duane. Memorial Mass will be celebrated 11:00 a.m. Saturday, September 17, 2016 at St. Therese Catholic Church in Rothschild. Rev. Norman Boneck will preside. Visitation will be Saturday from 9:00 a.m. until the time of services, all at the church. Peterson/Kraemer Funeral Home, Wausau, is in charge of arrangements.
