Gertrude Sicklinger

Gertrude Sicklinger, 95, Schofield, died Tuesday, August 31, 2004 under the care of Comfort Care and Hospice Services at Cedar Ridge Elder Services, Schofield. She was born June 15, 1909 in Marathon, daughter of the late Hugo and Olivia (Baur) Eisenman. On November 7, 1932 at St. Mary Catholic Church, Marathon she married Ambrose Sicklinger. He preceded her in death on December 30, 1977. Gertrude was a member of St. Therese Catholic Church, Rothschild and thier Little Flower Council. Survivors include six sisters, Marie Dix, Wausau, Monica Rolling, Fond du Lac, Annette Hoffman, Wausau, Mercedes Rolling, Wausau, Catherine (Charles) Baumann, Hayward, Doris (Lawrence) Hanz, Schofield; many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, Ambrose Sicklinger, brothers Winand Eisenman, Alois Eisenman and one sister, Irma Eisenman. The funeral mass will be celebrated 3:00 p.m. Thursday, September 2, 2004 at St. Therese Catholic Church, Rothschild. Rev. Janusz Kowalski will preside. Burial will be in St. Mary Cemetery, Marathon. Friends may call Thursday from 2:00 - 3:00 p.m. at St. Therese Catholic Church, Rothschild. In lieu of flowers, the family directs memorials be given to Comfort Care and Hospice Services or St. Therese Catholic Church.
