Geraldine M. Drengler

Geraldine "Gerry" M. Drengler 90, Wausau, died Tuesday, November 24, 2009 at her home. She was born February 23, 1919 in Fenwood, daughter of the late George and Clara (Krzmarcik) Wetterau. For 30 years, she worked as an administrative assistant with the Marathon County Veterans Service Office until her retirement. Throughtout her life, Gerry was an avid bowler and was inducted to the Wausau Bowling Hall of Fame. She volunteered for many years at the St. Anthony Spirituality Center, Marathon, and also was a volunteer for the Talent Shop and the Jubilee House, Wausau. Gerry was a member of St. Catherines Council, volunteered many hours at the parish center and attended daily mass at The Church of the Holy Name of Jesus, Wausau. Survivors include, one daughter, Roxanne Schubring, Wausau; five grandchildren, Scott Schubring, Pensacola, Fla., Lisa (Matt) Kerzisnik, Wausau, Ed (Kristy) Drengler, Appleton, and Jason and Jonathon Drengler, Cincinnati, Ohio; five great grandchildren, Antonio and Stephano Schubring, and Mackenzie, Joshua and Michaela Drengler; special nephew, James "Jim" Schroeder and other nieces and nephews. Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by one son, Thomas Drengler; one son-in-law, William Schubring; two sisters, Marcella Kuehlman and Adeline Schroeder; and one brother, Clifford Wetterau. The funeral mass will be celebrated at 11:00 a.m. Tuesday, December 1, 2009 at The Church of the Holy Name of Jesus, Wausau. Rev. Gerald Pehler O.F.M. Cap. will preside. Burial will be in the Edgar Cemetery. Friends may call Tuesday from 9:30 a.m. until time of services at the church.
