Gerald D. Stange

Gerald "Jerry" D. Stange, 63, Athens, died unexpectedly on Sunday, April 26, 2015 at Aspirus Wausau Hospital. He was born April 4, 1952 in Wausau, the son of Marcella (Bergmann) Stange of Athens and the late Donald Stange. Jerry attended the University of Wisconsin-Madison, where he earned both a Bachelor Degree and Law Degree. Among his favorite pastimes, he enjoyed going to the woods, spending time at the cottage on Squirrel Lake in Minocqua and was an avid fan of the Wisconsin Badgers, Green Bay Packers, Milwaukee Brewers and Athens Bluejays. Most of all, he loved attending his niece and nephews activities and sporting events and was very proud of all four of them and their accomplishments. Survivors include, his mother, Marcella; three siblings, Dale (Bonnie) Stange, Athens, Robin (Mark) Haehlke, Wausau and Rhonda Stange, Athens; one niece, Paige Haehlke; and three nephews, Ryan Haehlke and Max and Jake Stange.
