Gerald "Jerry" Robert Steinke

Gerald “Jerry” R. Steinke, 60, Wausau, passed away peacefully on Friday, June 27, 2025 at Aspirus Wausau Hospital, following a courageous battle with cancer.

He was born September 22, 1964 in Wausau, son of the late Leonard and Maxine “Micky” (Meyer) Steinke.

Jerry was currently employed as an engine assembler for Marathon Electric Corp. in Wausau, where he worked for 36 years until his cancer diagnosis. Among his favorite pastimes, he enjoyed going up North to hunt and fish.

Survivors include two brothers, Jeff Steinke and Mark Steinke, both of Wausau; his girlfriend, Nancy Davis, Wausau; and many other relatives and friends.

The funeral Mass will be celebrated at 11:00 a.m. on Tuesday, July 8, 2025 at Holy Name Catholic Church, Wausau. Rev. Woody Pace will preside. Burial will follow at Restlawn Memorial Park, Wausau. Visitation will be on Tuesday from 10:00 a.m. until time of services at the church.
