Gerald “Gerry” Thomas Schneider, 69, Wausau, passed away on Sunday, February 22, 2026 at Oak Heights Assisted Living in Kronenwetter.
He was born December 18, 1956 in Mundelein, IL, son of the late Paul and Florence (Gruener) Schneider.
He is survived by four brothers, James (Vicky) Schneider, Robert (Laura) Schneider, Joseph Schneider and Thomas (Elaine) Schneider, 14 nieces and nephews; and many great nieces and great nephews.
The funeral Mass will be celebrated at 12:00 p.m. on Saturday, February 28, 2026 at Holy Name of Jesus Catholic Church, Wausau. Rev. Woodrow Pace will preside. Visitation will be on Saturday from 11:00 a.m. until time of Mass at the church. Burial will be held at the Ascension Catholic Cemetery in Libertyville, IL at a later date.
The family would like to extend a heartfelt thank you to all the staff at Oak Heights Assisted Living for all the wonderful care, love and support you gave to Gerry over the past two years.
