Gerald "Jerry" Dickinson 71, 729 Park Ave., Wausau, died peacefully with his family by his side on Friday October 22, 2004 at the Wisconsin Veterans Home in King, Wisconsin. He was born March 27, 1933 in Stratford, son of the late Leslie and Magdalena (Oelke) Dickinson. On August 2, 1958 Jerry was united in marriage to Beverly Whippler in Wausau. She survives. Jerry worked at the Wausau Hospital for over 20 years in the maintenance department. He enjoyed his grandchildren, playing cards, watching old movies and the Green Bay Packer football games. Jerry was a veteran of the US Army, serving in the Korean War. Survivors besides his wife Beverly, Wausau, include his children, Mitchell Dickinson, Wausau, Craig (Beth) Dickinson, Wausau, Leslie (Pam) Dickinson, Athens, Paul (Vicki) Dickinson, Weston, one daughter, Jerri Lynn (Garret) Hagenbucher, Middleton, four grandchildren, Gene and Alicia Dickinson and Amanda and Jacob Hagenbucher, two step grandchildren, Amy and Andy Hartwig, two brothers, Robert Dickinson, Wisconsin Rapids and Lloyd Dickinson, Wausau, one sister-in-law, Kathryn Dickinson, Wausau and many nieces and nephews. Besides his parents Jerry was preceded in death by two brothers, Russell and Eugene Dickinson, two sisters Audrey and Vivian Dickinson, and sisters-in-law, Joan and Nancy Dickinson. Funeral services will be 11:00 a.m. Tuesday October 26, 2004 at the Peterson/Kraemer Funeral Home, 1302 Sixth Street, Wausau. Nancy Petulla will officiate.
