Gerald G. Berna

Gerald G. Berna, 73, Wausau, died Thursday February 21, 2013 at his home. He was born January 20, 1940, in Wausau, son of the late Frank and Clara (Barth) Berna. Gerald was a veteran, serving his country in the US Army. After returning from the service, he was employed at Foremost Farms until the time of his retirement. Jerry was a man of many hats-he enjoyed the outdoors, photography, plant and flower gardening, canoeing the river, playing guitar, carpentry and was always ready to lend a helping hand. Survivors include a sister, Grace (John) Warren, Rice Lake, nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. Besides his parents, he was preceded in death by two brothers, James and Donald Berna. The funeral mass will be celebrated at 11:00 a.m. Weds. February 27, 2013 at The Church of the Holy Name of Jesus, Wausau. Rev. David Rybicki will preside.
