George F. Obermeier
64, Wausau, died Sunday, October 17, 2004, under the care of Comfort Care & Hospice Services at Aspirus Wausau Hospital.
He was born May 31, 1940 in Wausau son of Laura (Olson) Obermeier, Wausau and the late Walter Obermeier.
George was known as a "Jack of All Trades" throughout the Wausau area. He spent time out West for many years before settling back in the Wausau area. George enjoyed singing and playing the guitar.
Besides his mother, Laura Obermeier, Wausau, survivors include three sisters, Ruthann Thompson, San Diego, Calif., Susan (Harley) Passmore, Kettle Falls, Wash. and Wendy (Orlando) Tiffany-Salter, Wausau; one brother, Walter (Mae) Obermeier, Milwaukee; one brother-in-law, James Vesper, Elk Mound.
Besides his father, he was preceded in death by two sisters, Loretta Knuth and Laurie Vesper and brother-in-law, Jack Thompson.
Memorial services will be 5:00 p.m. Saturday, October 23, 2004 at the Christian Assembly-Assemblies of God, Wausau. Family will greet friends immediately following the services.
