Genevieve "Genna" Witz

Genevieve "Genna" N. Witz, 16, died February 8, 2016 at Aspirus Wausau Hospital. She was born March 10, 1999 in Wausau, daughter of Gilbert Witz and Rabecka Saal. Genna was a junior at Wausau East High School where she was involved in the band and choir. She played flute at the Wausau Conservatory of Music, was a member of the Girl Scouts, 4-H and enjoyed bowling and her bowling family. Genna looked forward to attending Hodag Country Music Fest every year, was a selfie queen and enjoyed spending time with her friends. Some of her favorite things were the colors purple and green, Hello Kitty, Olaf and Pillow Pets. Above all she loved her family, visiting family, trips to her Auntie Marie's house and looked up to her three older brothers as her heroes. Survivors include her parents, Gilbert Witz and Rabecka Saal; brothers, Decota "Fat Boy", Richard Corporal of Marine Corp., and Patrick PFC of Marine Corp.; her grandma's, Shirley Witz and Rosemarie (Danny) Fandrey; her grandpa, Larry Saal; many furry family members, aunts, uncles, relatives and friends. She was preceded in death by her grandfather, Donald Witz and one cousin, Kelly Witz. Funeral services will be 11:00 a.m. Saturday, February 13, 2016 at First English Lutheran Church, Wausau. Rev. Erik Olson will officiate. Visitation will be Friday from 4:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. at Peterson/Kraemer Funeral Home, 1302 Sixth Street, Wausau and again on Saturday from 10:00 a.m. until the time of services at the church.
