Gene Elden Baumgardner

April 12, 1922 — January 8, 2003

Gene E. Baumgardner 80, Wausau, died Wednesday January 8, 2003 at the Hospice House, Wausau. He was born April 12, 1922 in Morrill, Nebraska son of the late Frank and Jesse(Allen)Baumgardner. On November 14, 1984 he married Lucille Berg, in Las Vegas. She survives. Gene was a retired Wyoming rancher, construction worker, auctioneer and logger on the west coast. He was also a member of Trinity Evangelical Lutheran Church in the town of Stettin. Survivors include his wife, Lucille Baumgardner, Wausau, a son, Gary L. (Gayle) Baumgardner, Boise, Idaho, a daughter, Linda C. Marincic, Cheyenne, Wyoming, four grandchildren, Bill Marincic, Fort Collins, Colorado, Brian Marincic, Cheyenne, Wyoming, Becky White, Waco, Texas and Cheri of Oregon, two great-grandchildren, two sisters, Norma Nevins, Alliance, Nebraska and Maxine Jungck, Sargent, Nebraska. Besides his parents, he was preceded in death by a brother, Donald. Funeral services will be 11 a.m. Saturday at Trinity Evangelical Lutheran Church, town of Stettin. Burial will be in Stettin Christian Cemetery. Visitation will be from 10 a.m. Saturday until the time of services at the church. Peterson/Kraemer Funeral Home, 3400 Stewart Avenue, Wausau, is in charge of arrangements. In lieu of flowers, a memorials may be directed to the Salvation Army or the Hospice House.
