Gary L. Weisenberger

Gary L. Weisenberger 54, Schofield, died Monday, June 16, 2008. He was born June 19, 1953 in Wausau, son of William Weisenberger and the late Beverly (Witter) Weisenberger. Gary spent the early years of his life growing up in Marathon City, then, as a teenager, moved to Wausau with his family. In 1971, he graduated from Wausau West High School. He and his fiance' moved to Arizona where they married and had one son. Gary went on to school there and became a licensed electrician. Later, they moved back to Wausau where he worked primarily on remodeling homes. After 30 years of experience, he started his own business. In his spare time he enjoyed golfing, watching sports, shooting pool and spending time with his family, especially his son. He was a very compassionate man, always willing to help someone if he could. Gary will be remembered as being kind, soft spoken, generous and very handy. Survivors include his son, Nicholas Weisenberger, Stevens Point; father, William Weisenberger, Wausau; sisters, Ann (Don) Cronce, Schofield and Lisa (Dave) McGraw, Ariz.; brother, Terry (Diana) Weisenberger, Hatley; step-sisters, Paulette (Allen) Syring, Suzy Klimek, Karen Klimek, all of Wausau; step-brothers, Matt Klimek, Minocqua and Michael (Donna) Klimek, Aniwa; special friend, Chris Weisenberger, Stevens Point and many other nieces, nephews, relatives and friends. Besides his mother, Beverly Weisenberger, he was preceded in death by two brothers, Randy and James Weisenberger, his step-mother, Anna Weisenberger and a step-brother, Eddy Klimek. Funeral services will be 11 a.m. Saturday, June 21, 2008 at Peterson/Kraemer Funeral Home, 1302 6th Street, Wausau. Rev. Derrald Hilderbrand will officiate. Burial will be in Restlawn Memorial Park, Wausau. Friends may call Saturday from 10 a.m. until the time of services all at the funeral home.
