Gary L. Rainville

Gary L. Rainville 57, Wausau, died Wednesday December 12, 2007 at Aspirus Wausau Hospital. He was born June 12, 1950, in Wausau, son of the late Lloyd and Elizabeth (Frank) Rainville. On January 9, 1971, he married Mary Lou Cveykus at St. Agnes Catholic Church, Weston. She survives. Gary had been employed at SNE prior to his retirement in August 2006. Among his favorite things to do were, hunting, fishing, camping, traveling, watching the Packers and especially spending time with his grandchildren. He will be fondly remembered as the life of the party, telling jokes and making people laugh. Survivors include his wife, Mary Lou, his children, Shawn (Jennifer) Rainville, Christine (Jeffrey) Guralski, all of Wausau, Susan (Baug Vang) Rainville, Plover, ten grandchildren, his siblings, Ronald Rainville, Keith (Susan) Rainville, Kay Rainville, Karen (Dan Grosskreutz) Rainville, all of Wausau, Lynn (Wally) Flees, Hatley, LaRae (David) Jelmeland, Weston and Kathy Grosskreutz, Wausau. Besides his parents, he was preceded in death by a son, Scott, a grandson, Tristen and an infant brother, Lloyd. The funeral mass will be celebrated at 11:00 a.m. Monday December 17, 2007 at St. Therese Catholic Church, Rothschild. Rev. Janusz Kowalski will preside. Burial will be in Pine Grove Cemetery, Wausau. Friends may call on Sunday from 4 - 8 p.m. at the Peterson/Kraemer Funeral Home, 1302 Sixth Street, Wausau, and again on Monday from 10:00 a.m. until the time of services at the church. There will be a vigil service at 5:00 p.m. Sunday evening at the Sixth Street funeral home. In lieu of flowers, a memorial fund is being established. The family wishes to extend their sincere appreciation to Dr. Rezazadeh, the nurses and staff at the UW Cancer Center and the Oncology Unit at Aspirus Wausau Hospital for the outstanding care given to Gary.
