Gary A. Crochiere

Gary A. Crochiere, 73, Marathon, died unexpectedly Sunday December 31, 2017 at his home. He was born February 2, 1944, in Wausau, son of the late Robert and Elsie (Winter) Crochiere. Gary attended grade school in a one room schoolhouse and later attended Marathon High School. For several years he drove truck and also farmed the original Crochiere Family Homestead. Among his favorite things to do were fishing and spending time at his cabin in Lac du Flambeau. Survivors include a brother, Ronald (Gail) Crochiere, California, a sister, Ila (Don) Behnke, Edgar, nieces, Sara (Al) Marciante, Texas, Kimberly (John) Baumgart, Virginia, nephews, Keith (Jen) Crochiere, New York, Ryan Crochiere, California. Gary will be missed by his friends in Marathon and Lac du Flambeau. Besides his parents, Gary was preceded in death by a brother, Dennis, a sister-in-law, Beverly Crochiere and a nephew, Steven Crochiere. Funeral services will be 1:00 p.m. Tuesday January 9, 2018 at the Peterson/Kraemer Funeral Home, Marathon. Burial will be in Pine Grove Cemetery, Wausau.
