Garth F. Lee
90, Wausau, formerly of Tomahawk, died Sunday, June 28, 2009 at his home.
He was born January 9, 1919 in Chicago, Ill., son of the late Howard and Ella (Crain) Lee. On August 23, 1969 he married Lillie Ellis in Carpentersville. She survives.
He served his country in the United States Marines. Garth worked as superintendent for G.J. Aigner, drove school bus for the Tomahawk School District and owned the Tomahawk Lodge. He enjoyed the outdoors and was a member of the Grace Lutheran Church in Tomahawk.
Survivors include his wife, Lillie, Wausau; children, Nolen (Juanita) Lee, Brian (Britt) Lee both of Woodstock, Ill., Mary Beth Mackey, Wichita Falls, Texas, Janet (Mike) John, Wild Rose, Otto Dwayne (Candy) Lee, Wausau and David Lee, Hobart, Oklahoma; ten grandchildren, Elsa, Travis, Kasey, Dana, Lydia, Quinn, Justin Robin, James Wayne and Mellissa; eleven great grandchildren; one brother, Howard (Jean) Lee, Louisville, Kentucky.
Besides his parents, he was preceded in death by his first wife, Elsie and a brother, Willard Lee.
Services will be Noon Tuesday, July 7, 2009 at the Nokomis Town Hall, 2599 Nokomis Lake Road, Tomahawk.
