Franklin G. Kluck
February 19, 1933 — January 3, 2018
Franklin G. Kluck, 84, passed away Wednesday January 3, 2018 at St. Clare's Hospital, Weston. He was born February 19, 1933 in Wausau, WI to Felix and Lucy (Kaczmarek) Kluck, the youngest of six children.
He served in the Army from 1952-1955 where he was a member of a tank division. In 1955 Frank met the love of his life Annette Carol Nelson. They were married on June 16, 1956.
Frank had many jobs during his working years beginning with a delivery man for Northern Mattress Co. Frank and his father Felix teamed up to form their own company called Speedway Service Repair. Their company took pride in repairing washing machines and small motors in the Wausau area for many years. He also worked for American Can Corp., Wisconsin Fuel & Light and finally retired from JI Case (Drott) in 1992. He enjoyed doing projects for family and friends including woodworking and painting. He loved spending his early retirement years at the family cottage near Minocqua. It was there that he discovered his love for casinos and playing the slot machines. Frank loved baking, his trips to the casino and working on projects, his true love in life was for his family. Every moment spent with his children, grandchildren and great grandchildren truly filled his heart the most.
Frank is survived by his wife of 61 years Carol, along with 5 children. Crystal (Randall) Nielson, Wausau.; Anthony (Donna) Kluck; David Kluck, Weston; Susanne Kluck, Bakersfield, CA; and Michael (Joyce) Kluck, Wausau; eight grandchildren, three step-grandchildren and three great-grandchildren. He is preceded in death by his parents Felix and Lucy Kluck, sisters Margaret (Robert) Barwick. Leona (Lawrence) Brueggeman, Mary Kluck and brothers Clarence (Irene) Kluck and Thomas Kluck.
Funeral services will be held at 6:00 p.m. Monday January 8, 2018 at the Peterson/Kraemer Funeral Home 1302 Sixth Street, Wausau. Rev. Joy Nelson-Jeffers will preside. Family and friends may call from 4:00 p.m. to the time of services at the funeral home Monday. Veteran Honors will be given by the American Legion Post 10 Honor Guard, Wausau.
