Franklin E. Andreas 65, Wausau, died Thursday, January 24, 2008 at Aspirus Wausau Hospital. He was born June 28, 1942 in Wausau, son of the late Elroy and Ruth (Kurth) Andreas. On October 23, 1965, he married Bonnie Kohnhorst in Wausau. She survives. Franklin was a veteran of the United States Army. He worked for Marathon Electric Corp. for 42 years until his retirement in 2006. Among his many interests, he enjoyed fishing, gardening and woodworking. Survivors include his wife, Bonnie Andreas, Wausau; two children, Susan (Shawn) Sopa, Waupaca and Richard (Lisa) Andreas, Green Bay; four grandchildren, Sawyer and Shania Sopa and Carson and Ava Andreas; one brother, James (Patricia) Andreas, Wausau; two sisters, Judith (Leroy) Pagenkopf, Wausau and Jeanette (John) Fuller, Calvert, Ky.; one sister-in-law, Alice Andreas, Wausau; and many nieces and nephews. Besides his parents, he was preceded in death by one brother, Jerald Andreas. Funeral services will be 3:00 p.m. Sunday, January 27, 2008 at St. Paul United Church of Christ, Wausau. Rev. Mary Kay Sauter will officiate. Friends may call Sunday from 1:00 p.m. until time of services at the church.
