Frank “Bucky” J. Stachoviak Jr., 83, died Tuesday, August 21, 2018 at North Central Health Care Center, Gardenside Crossing, Wausau.
He was born November 8, 1934, in Wausau, son of the late Frank and Mary (Lazewski) Stachoviak. On February 7, 1959 he married Marjorie Mueller at St. Michael Catholic Church, Wausau. She survives.
Frank served his country in the United States Navy during the Korean War and worked for many years as a truck driver. Bucky enjoyed hunting, playing cards, especially cribbage and watching old westerns. He also liked watching sports, his favorite teams being the Packers and the Badgers. He was blessed with a beautiful singing voice and loved to sing. He was also an usher for St. Michael's Catholic Church for a few years.
Survivors include his wife, Marjorie Stachoviak, Wausau; children, Mitchell (Jane) Stachoviak and Lisa Stachoviak, all of Wausau; son-in-law, Gary Pelletier, Wausau; grandchildren, Chad Fritz, Wausau, Heather (Caleb) Prusinski, Weyerhaeuser, Jacob Stachoviak, Wausau, Nick and Katrina Pelletier, Ryan (Jen) Herrick and Michelle (Cory) Hare, all of Wausau; great-grandchildren, Lauren, Jax, Quinn and Calla Prusinski, all of Weyerhaeuser; sister, Joanne Sullivan, Wausau.
Besides his parents, he was preceded in death by a son, Keith Stachoviak, daughter, Krista Pelletier and sisters, Marguerite Trempe and Lucille Stachoviak.
The funeral Mass will be celebrated 10:30 a.m. Monday, August 27, 2018 at St. Michael Catholic Church, Wausau. Rev. Msgr. Mark Pierce will preside. Entombment will be in Holy Angels Mausoleum, St. Michael Cemetery, Wausau. Visitation will be Sunday from 4:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. at Peterson/Kraemer Funeral Home, 1302 Sixth Street, Wausau and again on Monday from 9:30 a.m. until the time of services at St. Michael Catholic Church.
