Frank W. "Bud" Redmann Sr.
77, Athens died Monday, Dec. 20, 2010, under the care of Ministry Home Care Hospice at his home surrounded by his loving family.
He was born Aug. 22, 1933, in the town of Wein, son of the late Fredrick and Hazel (England) Redmann. On June 14, 1952, he married Jo-Ann Schemenauer at St. John the Baptist Catholic Church, Wuerztburg. She preceded him in death June 3, 1997.
Frank worked for Del-Mar Construction, S.D. Ellenbecker Inc., and Janke Construction. He also owned and operated Redmann's Bar and Redmann's Repair, both of Athens. Some of his favorite pastimes included deer and turkey hunting, and spending time with his family - especially his grandchildren.
Survivors include his children, Pamela (Jerome) Gesicki, Jerry (Kristi) Redmann, David (Carol) Redmann, Frank (Joy) Redmann Jr., Donald (Lisa) Redmann, June (Al) Graveen and Dean (Carrie) Redmann, all of Athens; 17 grandchildren; his siblings, Annetta Behrendt, Wausau, Fred (Germaine) Redmann, Athens, Hazel Roach, Wausau, and Robert Redmann, Athens.
Besides his parents and his wife, he was preceded in death by two brothers, Ernest and Charles Redmann; one sister, Betty Jahnke; and two grandchildren, Molly Redmann and Tara Graveen.
A memorial Mass will be at 10:30 a.m. Wednesday, Dec. 22, 2010, at St. Thomas Catholic Church, Milan. The Rev. Charles Hiebl will preside. Friends may call from 9 a.m. until the time of services Wednesday at the church.
