Frank J. Mullen

Frank J. Mullen 85, Rothschild, died Tuesday, April 3, 2007 at St. Clare's Hospital, Weston. He was born October 6, 1921 in Bevent, son of the late Louis and Mary (Burant) Mullen. On October 5, 1946, he married Marge Johnas at St. Mary Catholic Church, Wausau. She survives. Frank farmed in the Rib Mountain area until age 26, then had been employed at Rothschild Paper Mill, until his retirement in 1984. For 25 years, Frank assisted his wife, Marge with their custom drapery and blind business. Among his many interests, he enjoyed working on his lawn, bird watching, gardening and was especially proud of his vegetable garden. Survivors include, his wife, Marge Mullen, Rothschild; two children, Gail (Chuck) Reynolds and Dale Mullen, all of Schofield; three grandchildren, Rick Reynolds, Renee Mullen and Matthew Mullen; one sister, Mary Ann Andrzcyak, Wausau; one brother-in-law, Harvey (Gloria) Johnas, Seattle, Wash.; and one sister-in-law, Millie (Ray) Urmanski, Rib Mountain. Besides his parents, he was preceded in death by 9 siblings, Edward, Theresa, Helen, John, Joseph, Max, Alice, Florence and Albin; and one nephew, Jeff Johnas. The funeral mass will be celebrated 11:00 a.m. Monday, April 9, 2007 at St. Mark Catholic Church, Rothschild. Rev. Allan Slowiak will preside. Entombment will be in the Memorial Chapel Mausoleum, Restlawn Memorial Park, Wausau. Friends may call Sunday from 5:00 until 7:00 p.m. at Peterson/Kraemer Funeral Home, 1302 Sixth Street, Wausau and again on Monday from 10:00 a.m. until time of services at the church.
