Frank William Cherek

Frank W. Cherek, 35, Anoka, Minnesota, formerly of Wausau, died Friday, November 28, 2014 in Stillwater, Minnesota. He was born April 21, 1979 in Wausau, the son of Christine (Kortbein) Cherek and David Cherek. Frank attended high school at D.C. Everest in Weston. Among his favorite pastimes, he enjoyed fishing, playing video games, watching movies, playing cribbage and spending time with his many cousins. Survivors include, his mother, Christine Cherek, Wausau; his father, David Cherek, Weston; his sister, Paula Cherek, Wausau; his paternal grandmother, Irene Cherek, Weston; aunts and uncles, Alice Andreas, Wausau, Delphine (Pat) Marceille, Weston and Dennis (Rose) Cherek, Kronenwetter; and many cousins, other relatives and friends. He was preceded in death by his maternal grandparents, William and Lillian Kortbein; and his paternal grandfather, Frank Cherek. The funeral mass will be celebrated at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, December 6, 2014 at The Church of the Resurrection of Our Lord Jesus Christ, Wausau. Rev. William Grevatch will preside. Friends may call on Friday from 5:00 until 8:00 p.m. at Peterson/Kraemer Funeral Home, 1302 Sixth Street, Wausau and again on Saturday from 10:00 a.m. until time of services at the church. There will be a prayer service at 5:30 p.m. on Friday at the funeral home.
