Francis A. Springer

Francis A. Springer 85, 1127 No. 4th Avenue, Wausau, died Monday October 28, 2002 at Mount View Care Center, Wausau. He was born September 10, 1917 in the town of Cassel, son of the late Joseph and Martha (Stencil) Springer. On May 9, 1942 he married Bernice Wisneski at St. Mary Catholic Church, Marathon. She survives. Francis had been employed for over 30 years at Marathon Electric prior to his retirement. Survivors include his wife of 60 years, Bernice Springer, Wausau, three sons, Roger (Louise) Springer, Wausau, John (Kathy) Springer, Crete, Nebraska, Richard (LouAnn) Springer, Poplarville, Mississippi, two daughters, Patricia Springer, Fayetteville, North Carolina, Kathleen (Will) Guillaume, Kenosha, 13 grandchildren, nine great-grandchildren, one sister, Marie (Harold) Maltbey, Schofield. Besides his parents, he was preceded in death by a grandchild, two sisters and six brothers. The funeral mass will be celebrated at 11:00 a.m. Thursday October 31, 2002 at St. Matthew Catholic Church, Wausau. Rev. John Wisneski will preside. Burial will be in Restlawn Memorial Park, Wausau. Friends may call on Thursday from 9:30 a.m. until the time of services at the church. Peterson/Kraemer Funeral Home, 1302 6th Street, Wausau, is in charge of arrangements.
