Francis C. Schreiner

Francis C. Schreiner, 85, Edgar, died Saturday, June 27, 2015 under the care of Ministry Home Care Hospice, at his home. He was born March 13, 1930 in Athens, son of the late Charles and Loretta (Rogstad) Schreiner. On June 6, 1956 he married MaryAnne Leick in Stratford. She survives. Francis operated a dairy farm and also sold seed corn for Jung for 50 years. He was past treasurer and president of the Holy Name Society and the supervisor for the town of Wein. Some of his hobbies included playing cards, traveling, listening to Polka music and hunting. Survivors include his wife, MaryAnne; children, Charles (Christine) Schreiner, Cathie (Tom) Quesnell, Colleen (Dave) Schremp, Christy (Corey) Parker, Charlotte (Jody) Ludkey, Craig (Sherri) Schreiner, Cary (Dan) Napiwocki, Courtney (Dani) Schreiner and Coretta (Scott) Jahnke; daughter-in-law, Carrie (Bill) Dalgetty; 22 grandchildren; two brothers and four sisters. Besides his parents, he was preceded in death by a son, Christopher and four sisters. The funeral Mass will be celebrated 11:00 a.m. Friday, July 3, 2015 at St. John Catholic Church, Edgar. Rev. Robert Streveler will preside. Burial will be in the parish cemetery. Friends may call Friday from 9:30 a.m. until the time of services all at the church. The family would like to extend their sincere appreciation to the staff at Ministry Home Care Hospice in Wausau and Marshfield and also TLC for all the compassionate care given to Francis.
