Francis "Frank" R. Malak
69, passed away Monday February 9, 2009 at Colonial Manor Medical & Rehabilitation Center, Wausau.
He was born September 5, 1940, in Wausau, son of the late John and Alexandra (Cison) Malak. Frank served in the US Army and after service, moved to and worked in Leveland, Texas. After graduating from the Wisconsin Technical College as a millwright, he was employed with Wausau Metals, Nanik and G3 Industries.
Frank enjoyed the outdoors and spent much time fishing, hunting and panning for gold.
Survivors include one sister, Sister Mary Lea Malak, CSSF, Wausau, one brother, Leander (Merry) Malak, Tomahawk, four nephews and eight grand nieces and nephews.
Frank was preceded in death by his parents and two brothers, Joseph and Jerome.
The funeral mass will be celebrated at 11:00 a.m. Thursday February 12, 2009 at St. Michael Catholic Church, Wausau. Burial will be in Pine Grove Cemetery, Wausau. Friends may call on Weds. From 4 - 8 p.m. at the Peterson/Kraemer Funeral Home, 1302 Sixth Street, Wausau and again on Thursday from 10:00 a.m. until the time of services at the church. There will be a parish rosary at 7:30 p.m. Weds. evening at the Sixth Street funeral home.
