Frances M. Lloyd

Frances M. Lloyd, 99, of Ames, IA., died Friday, December 26, 2003 at Mary Greely Medical Center, Ames. She was born September 5, 1904 in Wausau, Wis. daughter of the late Bernard and Mary (Wentland) Schilbrach. On June 8, 1956 she married Arthur Lloyd. He preceded her in death January 12, 1979. Frances was raised in Wausau, lived in Chicago for some time and then moved to Ames, Iowa in 1956. While in Ames she assisted many families in time of need, was known as the Flower Lady of Ross Road and in 1998 was presented with the Ames Unsung Hero Award by the Ames Tribune. Frances was a professional beautician. Survivors include nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, Arthur; three sisters, Ann Simon, Clara Bietinger, and Esther Nelson; three brothers, Anton Schilbrach, Paul Schilbrach and Stanley Schilbrach. Visitation will be 5:00 - 8:00 p.m. Monday, December 29, 2003 at the Adams Funeral Home, Ames, Iowa and again Tuesday, December 30, 2003 from 12:30 - 1:30 p.m. at the Peterson/Kraemer Funeral Home 1302 Sixth Street, Wausau, Wis.
