Frances A. Hantz

Frances A. Hantz, 78, formerly of Weston, died July 18, 2016 at her home in Pinellas Park, Florida. She was born October 11, 1937 in Princeton, Minnesota, daughter of the late Chester and Mary (Mattson) Cooney. "Franny" was a 1956 graduate of Wausau High School. On March 2, 1957 she married Garold "Gary" Hantz at the Church of the Holy Name of Jesus, Wausau. He preceded her in death on November 24, 1996. Frances worked as a school bus driver and enjoyed fishing, gardening and crocheting. Survivors include her children, Steven Hantz, Wausau; Gwen (Tim) Schmitt, Powhatan, Virginia, Lauren (Steve) Juhelke, Merrill and Paul (Jennifer) Hantz, Weston; grandchildren, Ryan, Julie, Amber and Paige Great Grandchild Brady; sisters, Sharon Kuhn, Oldsmar, FL and Elizabeth Rolfe, Largo, FL. Besides her parents and husband, Garold "Gary", she was preceded in death by a son, Peter Hantz. Memorial Mass will be 11:00 a.m. Monday, August 22, 2016 at St. Agnes Catholic Church, Weston. Rev. Greg Bohren will preside. Visitation will be Monday from 9:00 a.m. until the time of services all at the church.
