Frances "Faye" Buehler, 92, passed peacefully, in her daughters' arms, April 25, 2015, at the Aspirus Hospice House, Wausau. She was blessed to be surrounded with the souls of her husband Earl, daughter Judy, & grand-daughter Carley, to take her home, to meet her Lord and the Blessed Virgin Mary, whom she loved and praised deeply.
Faye was born July 11, 1922, in Tomahawk, Wi., daughter of the late Thomas and Frances (Landreth) Fobes. She was a graduate of Tomahawk High School.
She married the Love of her Life, Earl Buehler on June 22, 1946, at St James Catholic Church in Wausau. They were joyously married for 64 yrs, and blessed with 6 children, 16 grandchildren, & 12 great-grandchildren.
Mom spent her entire life, making memories: her green mashed potatoes on St Patrick's day, wearing matching pajamas on Christmas Eve, 4th of July parades in Tomahawk, her "famous fish fries" she would cook up, at a moments notice for company, sitting around campfires, singing songs, and of course one of her favorite sayings: "Fish On, Earl"
Mom enjoyed bowling, playing cards, horseshoe, traveling south for the winters, but fishing with Dad and kids, was always her favorite time, and she would always catch the first and biggest fish. Mom was very proud, to be a member of the Catholic Daughters of America, for over 60 yrs.
She is survived by her children, Kathy (Richard) Baumann of Athens Wi., Tim (Toni) Buehler of Gulfport Ms., Sherry (Garry) VanOuse of Mosinee Wi., Mary (Dave) Williams of Gulfport Ms., & Sue (Chris) Volz of Aurora Co.,
Grandchildren, Tammy (David), Tim (Jeanne), Marty, Jennifer (Stephen), A.J., Daniel, Jessie (Lisa), Joey, Lorena (Sam), Lydia, Roberto, Molly, Samantha, Jamie (Colin), & Nicholas, Great-grandchildren, Cassie, Cody, Callie, Emma, Jedi, Cully, Dani, Lola, Raelyn, Nora, Leo, & Ella, sister-in-law, Madeline Buehler, Wausau, brother-in-law, Ken Buehler, Fl., and son-in-law Chuck Heisler, Fl., and many nieces and nephews.
Faye was preceded in death by her parents, her loving husband Earl, daughter Judy Heisler, grand-daughter Carley Buehler, brothers George & Louis Fobes, & sisters-in-law Jean and Ceil Fobes.
Memorial services will be at 2:00 p.m. on Monday, July 6, 2015 at St. Mary Catholic Church, Tomahawk.
