Floyd Gee

April 22, 1922 — March 9, 2009

Floyd Gee 86, Wausau, formerly of Milwaukee, died Monday, March 9, 2009 at Aspirus Wausau Hospital. He was born April 22, 1922 in Fort Atkinson, son of the late Alex and Marie (Bresler)Gee. He married Marion Tarkowski Gee (nee Librizzi) In 1981. She preceded him in death in 1995. He served his Country in the United States Air Force during World War II and worked in the meat business in Milwaukee for many years. Floyd enjoyed gardening, golf and taking long rides in the country. He was delighted to inherit the role of step-father. He was especially proud of his grandchildren and loved spending time with them. Survivors include his two stepdaughters, Jody Tarkowski (Jeff Oswald), Rib Mountain and Kathy Tarkowski, Mich.; three grandchildren, Ben, Hannah and Joe Oswald; three sisters, Matilda Kidder, Virginia Bogue and Katie Bentley; long time friends, the Rudy Chop family; his Wausau circle of girls and many other nieces, nephews, relatives and friends. Besides his parents and wife, Marion, he was preceded in death by eight siblings, Pat Barrett, Clarence Gee, Albert Gee, Augusta McCauley, Dorothy Smith, Harold Gee, Victor Gee and Mary Ludlam. Visitation will be on Wednesday, March 11, 2009 from 5 p.m. until 7 p.m. with a prayer service at 6:45 p.m. at Peterson/Kraemer Funeral Home, 3400 Stewart Avenue, Wausau.
