Florian Sekorski

Florian Sekorski 88, Edgar, died Tuesday, February 5, 2013 at Kennedy Park Medical and Rehabilitation Center, Weston. He was born May 1, 1924 in the town of Rietbrock, son of the late Anton and Helen (Soczka) Sekorski. On October 4, 1950, he married Irene Hornung in Marathon. She preceded him in death on July 29, 2006. Florian farmed in the town of Rietbrock for 16 years before moving to Edgar in 1966. For 20 years, he worked for the Edgar Packing Plant until his retirement in 1986. Among his favorite pastimes, he enjoyed collecting toy tractors. Survivors include, his son, Bob (Sandy) Sekorski, Edgar; two grandchildren, Scott (Kelly O'Heron) Sekorski, Weston and Amy (Matt) Hendricksen, Dane, Wis.; and one great grandson, Alexander Hendricksen. Besides his parents and wife, Irene, he was preceded in death by three brothers and one sister. The funeral mass will be celebrated at Noon on Friday, February 8, 2013 at St. John Catholic Church, Edgar. Rev. Robert Streveler will preside. Burial will be in the parish cemetery.
