Florence E. Skrzypchak

Florence E. Skrzypchak 95, formerly of Edgar, died Monday, September 17, 2001 at Cedar Creek Manor, Mosinee. She was born July 23, 1906 in Marathon, daughter of the late Anton and Catherine (Lang) Sauter. On November 22, 1932, she married Roney Skrzypchak in Marathon. He preceded her in death on June 17, 1984. Florence along with her husband, Roney, farmed in the Town of Cassel for 52 years. She had a green thumb and took pride in her garden and loved her cats. Florence was a very hard worker and dedicated to the farm. Survivors include 6 daughters, Rita (Louie) Zastrow, Wausau, Audrey (Carl) Williams, Florida, Theresa (Robert) Nicholson, Arizona, Joan (Walter Jr.) Wadzinski, Schofield, Joyce (Vannio) Skrzypchak, Racine and Nancy (Andrew) Blume, Marathon; 3 sons, Arnold (Caroline) Skrzypchak, Neshkoro, Jerome (Eileen) Skrzypchak and LeRoy Skrzypchak all of Edgar; 34 grandchildren and 48 great grandchildren. Besides her husband parents, Florence was preceded in death by six sisters, Sister Disma Sauter FSPA, Sister Paulissa Sauter FSPA, Sister Romilda Sauter FSPA and Sister Paulita Sauter FSPA, Mary Dalsky and Cecelia Ceranski; one brother, Rev. Arnold Sauter O.F.M. Cap.; one grand daughter, Cheryl (Skrzypchak) Luebke and three grand sons, Joseph Wadzinski, Joseph Skrzypchak and Chad Skrzypchak. The funeral mass will be celebrated 11 a.m. Thursday, September 20, 2001 at St. Mary Catholic Church, Marathon. Rev. Bernard Raschke will preside. Burial will be in St. John Cemetery, Edgar. Friends may call Wednesday from 5 - 8 p.m. at Peterson/Kraemer Funeral Home, Edgar and on Thursday from 10 a.m. until the time of services at the church. There will be a parish rosary service 7:00 p.m. Thursday at the Edgar funeral home. In lieu of flowers, a memorial is being established in Florence's name.
