Florence M. Schepp

Florence M. Schepp, 88, Wausau, died Saturday February 15, 2014 at Aspirus Wausau Hospital under the care of Comfort Care and Hospice Services. She was born May 17, 1925, in Wausau, daughter of the late Fabian and Margaret (Berna) Kolter. On January 11, 1947, she married Wilbert F. Schepp in Wausau. He preceded her in death June 29, 1982. Florence was a homemaker and made family her priority. The time spent with her children and grandchildren was precious to her. Among her favorite things to do was playing Bingo with her friends and in earlier years, knitting and crocheting. A big part of her life was her association with the Gold Star Mothers and the D.A.V. Auxiliary. Through the years, she held many offices including president, secretary and historian. Survivors include three sons, Wayne (Patricia) Schepp, Schofield, David (Yvonne) Schepp, Wausau and Keith (Sue) Schepp, Weston, grandchildren, Mike (Tammy) Schepp, Barb (Pat Jr.) Stone, Lori (Dale)Green, Scott (Tracy) Konkol; Chad (Mandy) Schepp, Casey (Christena) Schepp; Eric Seiser, Christina (Jon Kleinschmidt) Seiser, Jon (Melanie) Seiser and Joseph Seiser, 14 great grandchildren and four great great grandchildren. Besides her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by one son, Dale Schepp, one granddaughter, Stacey Schepp, one sister, Delores Rothmeyer. The Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 11:00 a.m. Wednesday Feb. 19, 2014 at The Church of St. Anne, Wausau. Burial will be in Restlawn Memorial Park, Wausau. Friends may call on Tuesday from 4:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. at the Peterson/Kraemer Funeral Home, 1302 Sixth Street, Wausau and again on Wednesday from 10:00 a.m. until the time of services at the church. There will be a parish vigil service at 7:00 p.m. Tuesday evening at the Sixth Street funeral home. In lieu of flowers, a memorial fund is being established.
