Florence M. Murr

Florence M. Murr 90, Wausau died Wednesday, September 18, 2002 under the care of Comfort Care & Hospice Services at Community Health Care Wausau Hospital. She was born October 17, 1911 in the town of Cassel, daughter of the late Vincent and Magdeline (Wentland) Lepak. On February 14, 1933, she married Anton H. Murr in Wausau. He preceded her in death on September 29, 1961. Florence was devoted to her daughters and grandchildren. She touched the lives of those she met with kindness and gentleness. In her earlier years, she loved dancing with her husband Tony. Together, they were members of the Rib Mountain Bowmen's Club. She was an active member at the Church of St. Anne and was a member of St. Mildred Circle. She enjoyed playing bridge, loved baking and cooking. Prior to her retirement in 1974, Florence was employed at Marathon Electric Company for 21 years as an inspector. After retirement, she continued to fill the lives of family and friends with care and love. Survivors include three daughters, Joan (Arthur) Langlois, Plover and their children, Shari (Tom) Aleksy, Michael (Kathleen) Langlois, and Jacqueline (Tim) Menting; Judy Silvia, Alexandria, Virginia, and her children, Len Silvia Jr. and Captain Scott (Terri) Silvia; Marilyn (Donald) Benz, Kronenwetter and their children, Aimee (Dave) Hagen, twins, Brian and Bradley Benz; and five great grandchildren. Besides her husband and parents, she was preceded in death by one daughter, Jan Speier-Chevella; three brothers, David, Leo and Bennie Lepak. The funeral mass will be celebrated at 4:00 p.m. Sunday, September 22, 2002 at the Church of St. Anne, Wausau. Burial will be in Restlawn Memorial Park, Wausau. Friends may call from 4:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. Saturday at the Peterson/Kraemer Funeral Home, 1302 6th St., Wausau and again from 3:00 p.m. Sunday until the time of services at the church. There will be a 7:00 p.m. parish vigil Saturday evening at the 6th St. Funeral Home. The family would like to take this opportunity to express their thanks to all at Colonial Manor who were a part of their mother's life in her later years.
