Florence M. Jojade

Florence M. Jojade, 98, of Merrill, WI and formerly of Wausau, WI passed away on Friday, July 12, 2024 at Bell Tower Residence in Merrill, under the care of Aspirus Comfort Care and Hospice Services.

She was born on September 25, 1925 in Wausau to the late Joseph and Martha (Kolasinski) Wiesneske.  She married Charles D. Jojade Sr. on September 28, 1946.  Florence loved her family and the times spent together.  She always enjoyed reading and her gardens including flowers and vegetables; roses were her favorite.  She cherished family traditions around the holidays, especially decorating Christmas cookies.  Most of all, she loved her family.

Survivors include her children, Chuck (Lee) Jojade, Wausau, WI; Barb (Denny) Gray, Sun City Center, FL; Lori (Mike) Turk, Sherman, CT; nine grandchildren, seven great-grandchildren; nieces, nephews; and her cousin, Sister Kathy Wiesneske.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Charles Jojade Sr; parents; step-mother, Theresa (Kolasinski); and siblings, Sister Sarah (Mary) Wiesneske, Lawrence Wiesneske, Clara (Panesi), Joseph Wiesneske, Donald Wiesneske, and Edward Wiesneske.

The funeral Mass will be celebrated at 11:00 a.m. on Friday, August 23, 2024, at Bell Tower Residence, 1500 O’Day Street, Merrill, with Rev. Charles Hoffmann and Deacon John Bourke presiding.  Visitation will begin at 10:00 a.m. until the time of service.  Burial will follow in Restlawn Memorial Park, town of Texas.  Online condolences may be expressed at www.petersonkraemer.com.
