Florence E. Best, 92, Wausau died Friday, December 2, 2016 under the care of Aspirus Comfort Care and Hospice Services at Rennes Health and Rehab, Weston.
She was born May 20, 1924 in Wausau, daughter of the late Otto and Mary (Kittel) Ziech. Florence married Bertman Best at St. Paul United Church of Christ, Wausau. He preceded her in death.
Florence worked in housekeeping at the former St. Mary's Hospital, Wausau and also as a nurse's aide at Colonial Manor Nursing Home for many years. Florence worked at Wisconsin Box in Wausau for a short time as well. Some of her favorite pastimes included bowling, reading and being an active member at St. Paul U.C.C.
Survivors include her daughter, Nancy Harnish, Indiana, many grandchildren, great grandchildren, great great grandchildren and also many nieces and nephews. Florence is survived by a special niece, Mary Przybylski, Weston and family friends, Nancy Welder and Nancy Lee, both of Indiana and David (Carolyn) Kanter, Kansas City, Missouri.
Besides her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by one son, Jesse Best and two brothers and one sister.
