Florence N. Beese

Florence (Horne) Beese 91, 2620 N. Sixth Street, Wausau, died Saturday, May 20, 2006, at Colonial Manor Medical and Rehabilitation Center, under the care of Comfort Care and Hospice Services. She was born November 1, 1914 in Milwaukee, daughter of the late Valentine and Mary (Haubner) Amrhein. In 1935 she married Leo C. Horne. He preceded her in death in 1975. In 1976, she married Arthur Beese. He preceded her in death in 1983. Florence was a member of St. Michael Catholic Church. She enjoyed Television Daytime Drama, movies and reading. Survivors include three sons, Richard (Margaret) Horne, LaPuente, Calif., Thomas (Peggy) Horne, Rhinelander, Lee (Shirley) Horne, Waupaca, two sisters, Marie (Ervin) Whalen, Bastrop, Tex., Dolores (John) Haley, Milwaukee, nine grandchildren and several great grandchildren. Besdies her parents and husbands, she was preceded in death by six brothers, two sisters and one son, John C. Horne. The funeral mass will be celebrated at 2:00 p.m. Thursday May 25, 2006 at St. Michael Catholic Church, Wausau. Rev. William Grevatch will preside. Burial will be in Restlawn Memorial Park, Wausau. Friends may call on Thursday from 1:00 p.m. until the time of services at the church. Pallbearers for the service will be, Michael Horne, Green Bay, Major Gary Hopkins, Oshkosh, Philip Hopkins, Hartford, Eugene Altenburg, Wayne Altenburg and Jerry Altenburg, all of Waupaca.
